With over $1 billion in sales, approximately 500 employees, and a presence in more than 4,500 supermarkets and other food service establishments, AFCFC is positioned to innovate and grow, now and in the future.Position OverviewThe Production Supervisor for the Central Kitchen will report to the Assistant Manager and Production Manager of the Central Kitchen. This position will be responsible for the Central Kitchen production operations including preparation and maintenance of quality standards, sanitation, and cleanliness. Supervise or coordinate activities of chefs or workers engaged in food preparation. Prepare a variety of food products including, seafood, vegetables, sauces, and other food products using a variety of equipment and utensils according to the Daily Prep List.Primary Job Functions (90%)Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow regulations and company standards.Assist in operations to control food cost and usage of food materials and supplies.Supervise or coordinate Central Kitchen activities.Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the AFC s recipes, portioning, preparation and serving standards.Inspect supplies, equipment, or work areas to ensure conformance to regulations and company standards.Ensure that deliveries are performed in accordance with the Central Kitchen s receiving policies and procedures.Monitor production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure timely delivery of services.Assist Central Kitchen Team to coordinate planning, budgeting, or purchasing for all the food operations.Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvement.Perform Various tasks when situations demand.Travel (5%)Assist in deliveries of product to our delivery locations from our Central Kitchen.Other Job Functions (5%)Additional tasks are assigned.Qualifications and SkillsEducationHighschool diploma/ GEDExperienceRestaurant, retail or food manufacturing management experience (3-5 years preferred).Knowledge of commercial level sushi production is a plus.Understanding of Food Safety Regulations and requirements (HACCP and/or ServeSafe certified required).Must have food worker card.Working in a fast-paced environment.Great communicator in a multicultural environment, and quick learner.Skills/abilitiesFluency in EnglishKnowledge of Sushi ProductionAdvanced Cutting SkillsAdvanced sushi ingredient preparation; and roll preparationTime managementBasic Record KeepingInventory ManagementProduction PlanningBasic computer knowledge (MS Work, Excel, Outlook)Physical Demands:Ability to stand for a long period of timeBe able to lift/ carry up to 40lb.#AFCindeedJob Type: Full-timePay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceExperience:Food Manufacturing: 3 years (Preferred)Restaurant: 3 years (Preferred)Ability to Relocate:Tukwila, WA: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
