From your PASSION to oursThis position is part of a team that contributes to network and security projects from conception through maintenance. The Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining and supporting LAN/WAN communications including VOIP and telepresence, while improving reliability, scalability, and security. From your EXPERTISE to oursKey responsibilities for this position include: Administration of routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, VOIP phone system, VOIP phones, smartphones, security updates and patches. Monitor a ticket queue and provide triage and diagnostic evaluation of incoming tickets assigned to the team. Perform regular audits of firewalls to ensure adherence to department defined standards. Continually improves the networks by monitoring and evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency. Planning and executing the installation, configuration, and testing of network equipment. Become familiar with and adhere to network policies and procedures. Participate in technical projects with both internal and vendor supplied resources. This may include user impact assessment and task scheduling. Reporting of operational status of networks by gathering and prioritizing information. Contribution to network and security performance by assisting in definition of policy and procedures, monitoring, and reporting on adherence. Creation and maintenance of documentation on network and processes for internal use and user education. Member of a team that participates in off-hours, on-call rotation. Provides technical support and guidance to Help Desk Technicians & all staff. Completion of assigned tasks as needed to satisfy departmental and company mission.
