INVO is seeking a short term NJ school certified Occupational Therapist in Manalapan NJ.  The ideal candidate will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to develop and implement individualized plans that promote student success in a classroom setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to kindergarten students, both individually and in small groups.
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom environment.
  • Monitor and document students' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students' progress and needs.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all services provided and ensure compliance with district policies and state regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current New Jersey State license as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience working with young children, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with sensory integration therapy.
  • Familiarity with IDEA and special education processes.
  • Previous experience in a kindergarten or early childhood education setting.
