The Director, Corporate Continuous Improvement is responsible for developing, initiating, leading and driving continuous improvement projects from a corporate level. This includes process or business changes to reduce operating costs and overseeing project initiation, development, tracking and auditing. Responsible for supporting and/or facilitating key continuous improvement activities, in areas such as; waste reduction, cost savings, production & supply chain efficiency, procurement, transportation, distribution, operations, maintenance reliability, quality, safety, environmental, people development, business systems, business technology and business development initiatives. ResponsibilitiesWorks with Operations management, Maintenance, Finance, supervisors, hourly employees and other divisions to develop ideas for improvement and potential solutions.Works with Engineering to evaluate new technologies and processes.Facilitates capacity studies for future growth opportunities as dictated by business.Identifies and facilitates the implementation of process improvements and cost savings opportunities aligned with key business objects.Acts as a change agent to identify and drive continuous improvement projects that realize cost savings for the organization.Performs and evaluates economic analyses on projects.Establishes and implements meaningful metrics to set yield, labor and supply standards; tracks and identifies gaps in performance; explains discrepancies and facilitates system solutions.Oversees project performance and ensures timely completion and achievement of goals.Maintains and updates plant capacity numbers and creates reports to measure yield and labor performance.Responsible for developing and leading projects to reduce negative variances.Implements strategic planning and execution using techniques such as, 4 Disciplines of Execution and SWOT Analysis.Coaches management in tactical execution of strategic plans.May lead training initiatives.Supports special projects and duties as assigned by leadership.
