Role Responsibilities: Verify the requests for firewall rule opening & other Security related requests in Checkpoint, Cisco firewalls & implement the same by following the change process. If needed co-ordinate with the requestor to correct it as per standard. verify the requests for new virtual IP creation & other types in F5 LTM, GTM and implement the same by following the change process. If needed co-ordinate with the requestor to correct it as per standard. Handling and Troubleshooting GRE & IPSec VPN tunnels & related issues in Cisco & Checkpoint devices. Good understanding of EIGRP and BGP Routing Protocols. Knowledgeable to work in Service Now Ticketing environment with incidents, requests, for creating changes and to follow the process. Attend Change Management Calls to represent changes and to get approval. Test, troubleshoot and validate F5, Firewall changes with the Application Team validators. Work with vendor support teams (like Cisco,F5, ISPs) on Infrastructure related issues and get it resolved. understanding of Enterprise switching environment and basic troubleshooting skills should be a Good Teammate and willing to work with people from other geographies for continuous support. Must Have Skills/Prior Experiences: Good communication skills. Good knowledge & experience in Checkpoint Firewalls, Cisco ASA or FTD Good knowledge & experience in F5 load balancers (LTM/GTM) Good knowledge over general Networking concepts like DHCP, DNS, IP Address management, NAT, IPSec VPN, NTP,SNMP is must Good debug/troubleshooting skills with the F5 GUI, CLI, Log files, and TCPDUMP processes & in general Enterprise Network environment. Basic understanding of Enterprise Routing in EIGRP,BGP, VRFs Basic understanding of Enterprise switching, virtual switches, stack switches Plus/Nice to Have Skills/Prior Experiences: F5 configuration scripting and automation capabilities. Understanding of the CISCO ACI and AWS #LI-NC1 Applications will be accepted until 9/13/2024. The annual salary for this position is between $80,000.00 – $92,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
