Maintenace Technician II

The primary focus of this role is to perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance, monthly safety checks, and make repairs and modifications to equipment and facility. Job duties may include one or more of the following; working with hydraulics, electrical maintenance and motheors, welding, utilities, pumps and PLC fundamentals. Interfaces with production/logistics supervision to effect safe repairs to equipment and ensure equipment is returned to operations in acceptable condition. Including organizing, coordinating, and maintaining a safe work environment throughout the facility. Responsible for completing all paperwork assigned and coordinating with the supervisor to ensure data is correct and recorded.

What You Will Do:

• Interfaces with production/warehouse supervision to effect safe repairs to equipment and ensures that equipment is returned to operations in an acceptable condition
• Performs regularly scheduled preventive maintenance and monthly safety checks 
• Makes repairs & modifications to equipment and facilities as scheduled through the work order system
• Responsible for completing all paperwork assigned and coordinating with the Reliability Supervisor to ensure data is correct and recorded
• Other duties as assigned

Position Details:

• Plant location: McDonough, GA Plant
• Work week and shift: 2nd shift, Monday - Friday, 2pm - 10pm
• Compensation package offered: $33.00 per hour with some OT

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• 4 years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment 
• 1 years of experience with electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial environment 
• 1 years of experience with tools, procedures and methods utilized in an industrial maintenance environment. 
• 1 years of experience with electronic and PLC based applications in an industrial environment.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam

Preferred Qualifications:

• Formal vocational training in plant maintenance activities with emphasis on industrial applications or equivalent job experience in electricity, power distribution, industrial electrical wiring, mechanics, machine operations, general plumbing, heating ventilation and air conditioning and/or boiler operations
• Able to work in difficult situations such as confined spaces, heat and in high places 
• Experience with pumps, welding, bearings, electrical safety, forklifts, gears, hydraulics, valves and rigging
• Experience in a Lean Environment
