Position Title: Supervisor Maintenance Position Type: Regular - Full-Time Position Location: Easton Requisition ID: 32404 SUMMARY: Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment, and in fabricating metal parts.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems. Assist workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment. Conduct employee appraisals and evaluations. Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments. Direct workers engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery. Direct workers in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment. Ensure adequate staffing and training of new employees. Ensure forklift operations are in accordance with company policy. Establish daily work schedules. Implement McCain Competitive Edge and Lean Manufacturing practices relative to Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People (SQCDP). Initiate and conduct the department to reinforce Health and Safety, company policies, and otherwise impart the knowledge and information necessary for personnel to carry out their responsibilities. Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assign duties. Keep workshop and other areas clean, orderly, and safe. Maintain time and production records. Perform activities of workers supervised. Provide direction to maintenance team at pre-shift meetings and is available on-site to effectively direct, guide, and counsel employees. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Requisition non-stock replacement parts. Schedule employee work schedules and vacations. Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew. Other projects/duties as assigned or needed.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise all personnel and activities within area of responsibility.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each job duty satisfactorily.
