You'll drive EHS performance, analyze trends, and take action to enhance safety and compliance.Responsibilities:Policy Execution and Guidance:Ensure consistent execution of EHS policies.Provide guidance on program feasibility.Implement EH&S corporate directives and guidelines for our Lear locations.Department Collaboration:Partner with all departments, especially Operations.Coordinate EHS requirements, guidance, and best practices to support their needs.EHS Reviews and Continuous Improvement:Conduct regular EHS reviews with key operating leaders and the EHS team.Track plant-specific improvement plans to enhance EHS programs and processes.Compliance Assurance and Audits:Maintain compliance with Lear-specific EHS requirements.Coordinate audits to ensure adherence to legal and other requirements.Address findings proactively and track actions to closure.Data Integrity and Reporting:Ensure accurate and timely reporting.Conduct thorough incident investigations for significant EHS incidents.Publish EHS Alerts and share relevant incidents across assigned Lear sites.EHS Management System (EHSMS):Establish, implement, and sustain ISO14001 & ISO45001 standards.Guide proactive risk identification and control plans.Governmental Relations:Build relationships with regional governmental agencies.Represent Lear in negotiations with governmental entities.Injured Worker Support:Submit injured worker information to the Third-Party Administrator (TPA) promptly.Collaborate with the TPA and medical community.Maintain accurate records in the OSHA 300 log.Ergonomics, Sustainability, and Continuous Improvement:Drive EHS culture through effective implementation and management of these programs.By Product Management:Ensure proper disposition of all by-products (waste materials).Plant Compliance:Adhere to legal and corporate requirements during plant opening/closing.Budget Coordination:Collaborate on budget planning to secure necessary capital and expense funding.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.Ability to collaborate with EHS teams across multiple sites and regions.Willingness to travel to support EHS initiatives.Experience executing activities based on standard work and project plans.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Effective communication with business leaders.Bonus Points:Master's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.Previous experience in a JIT (Just-In-Time) manufacturing facility
