Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities and Position Qualifications:POSITION SUMMARYThe Scientist III is responsible for performing routine sample analysis, LCMS and/or HPLC analytical techniques accurately and efficiently following SRL procedures.SCHEDULE:Shift 1 (9:30 am - 6pm), Tues- SatRESPONSIBILITIESPerforms production sample runs. Prepares solutions such as mobile phases and buffersPerforms validation experiments.Works independently, plans and conducts laboratory workPerforms routine tasks with high efficiencyTrains and guides new testing personnelCleans laboratory glassware and helps maintain lab orderlinessDocuments promptly and clearly all procedural processesPerforms automated and routine extractions  Performs LCMS and/or ICPMS analysis following specified SRL procedures. Monitors LCMS and/or HPLC system performance to ensure quality of resultsIndependently troubleshoots assays and instrumentationProcesses data following SRL procedures and guidelinesMakes and records observations and performs mathematical calculationsMaintains and calibrates instrumentation and equipment as required  Assists with administrative duties. Files documentation associated with daily production runs.Makes copies of relative forms used for production and validation.Assists with maintaining laboratory inventory and requesting supply orders QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION:  Bachelors degree in a scientific field EXPERIENCE:  3+ years laboratory related experience3 years LCMS 3 years extraction experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.  Must be able to work well with variety of laboratory personnel.  Excellent attention to detail.  Basic computer knowledge.  Must be able to work with frequent interruptions and fluctuations in workload.  Ability to set and meet deadlines with high quality work.  Ability to understand graphs, tables, charts and perform calculations needed for the task.  Ability to follow and implement policies and Standard Operating Procedures.    LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: None required.Scheduled Weekly Hours:40Work Shift:Job Category:Laboratory OperationsCompany:Sonic Reference Laboratory, IncSonic Healthcare USA is an equal opportunity employer that celebrates diversity and is committed to an inclusive workplace for all employees.
