Plant Director

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Direct and oversee all plant operations, maintenance, and production objectives at the Hahnville site.
· Develop and manage performance goals for all employees, including conducting reviews, setting objectives, and creating career development plans.
· Foster a culture of teamwork and innovation through coaching and leadership development.
· Ensure compliance with safety standards and drive quality control initiatives to maintain product standards.
· Develop and implement cost control and efficiency strategies for plant operations.
· Collaborate with the Lab Manager to ensure quality control, analysis, and operational alignment.
· Analyze production trends, manage chemical inventory
· Collaborate with Human Resources team to oversee recruitment and retention of staff.
· Maintain plant facilities and equipment, ensuring reliability and optimal functionality.
· Assist the CEO in global coordination of manufacturing plants, aligning processes, and goals across locations.
· Provide operational oversight to plant managers in foreign locations as needed.
· Present capital requests and report production performance to the CEO.
· Resolve operational issues by working closely with the management team and other departments.
· Establish and maintain policies for plant cleanliness and safety.
· Lead planning and scheduling of maintenance and project implementation.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or related field (or equivalent experience).
· Minimum 10 years of experience in plant management with PSM, RMP, and OSHA compliance expertise.
· Proven leadership experience managing large teams and budgets in a high-performing environment.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on risk mitigation and operational improvement.
· Experience in petrochemicals, plastics additives, or plastic compounding is preferred.
· Familiarity with process automation, six sigma, or lean methodologies is a plus.
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and with external stakeholders.
· Business acumen and a global perspective on manufacturing operations.
· Fluency in English; additional language skills are an asset.
