Type of Requisition:RegularClearance Level Must Currently Possess:NoneClearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain:NoneSuitability:Public Trust/Other Required:NACI (T1)Job Family:Software DevelopmentJob Qualifications:Skills:Automation Anywhere (Software), Microsoft SQL Server, Robotic Process Automation, Scripting, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Certifications:None - N/AExperience:5 + years of related experienceUS Citizenship Required:NoJob Description:Essential DutiesDelivery of technology-specific customized automation solutions including all work necessary through completion by providing end-to end system engineering, solution design, development, integration, test, deployment and operations and maintenance of automation solutions which meet user standards and requirements.Deliver the depth and breadth of application development services needed to develop new automation solutions and sustain or enhance legacy applications that provide tools, capabilities, and services.Coordination and communication across functional units (where appropriate) to develop, implement and maintain new initiatives.Provide support for ad-hoc service requests.Participates in team and client interactions, possibly with more senior team members, to develop RPA solutions suited to specific business needs.Required Skills3-5 years’ experience with Agile (SCRUM/Kanban) software development methodologies.Automated testing and deployment implementation a plus.Experience with hands-on programming/scripting experience specifically aligned with RPA and robotic implementations.Proficiency with RPA tools (Automation Anywhere Enterprise/A360, IQ Bot) and database management systems (SQL Server).Proficiency with scripting tools (VBA, SQL, JavaScript, JSON) and programming (Excel/CSV, REST/SOAP, API, .NET, Java, ETL, etc.) with a specific focus on developing Bots.CompetenciesAnalytical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills – ability to understand complex situations, develop and implement a logical approach to a problem solution.Ability to work effectively in a fluid and dynamic environment.Attention to Detail – ability to ensure the work and information are complete and accurate, by preparing carefully for meetings and presentations, and following up with others to ensure that agreements and commitments have been fulfilled.Communications – ability to understand requirements documentation, functional specifications, high level design documentation and system documentation.Able to successfully listen, understand and verbally communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical team members.Flexibility - able to change priorities quickly and have a capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Application of software engineering concepts and best practices to design solutions that meet operational requirements, such as scalability, maintainability, extensibility, and flexibility.Ability to self-manage projects, due dates and communicate status.Impact Awareness – ability to anticipate the likely effect of actions and events on others and to tailor one’s own behavior to achieve a desired effect on others.Influential Skills – ability to gain others’ support for ideas and solutions through logical argument.Interpersonal Awareness – ability to notice, interpret, and anticipate others’ concerns and feelings.Productivity – motivated self-starter and quick learner. Ability to work under critical deadlines with heavy workloads as well as flexibility to work outside of normal business hours to meet testing needs.Results Oriented – ability to keep the desired end-result of one’s own work clearly in mind by setting goals and focusing on them tenaciously until they are achieved.Technical Acumen – strong understanding of software development concepts, procedures, and technologies utilizing the Agile Methodology.Technical SkillsMapping the as-is process and translating the process into automated steps.Working with stakeholders to define the manual rules used today to govern the process and then translating those rules into automated commands.Creating robust attended/unattended automations using object cloning, keystrokes, image recognition, PDF, OCR screen scraping, and exception handling.Administration of control room including roles, users and credential vaults.Develop RPA client solutions focusing on scalability, process performance and extensibility.Working with a dynamic team to refine and expand the automation based upon user’s feedback.Experience in identifying the root cause of RPA defects and provide timely resolution.Have exposure to wide variety of technology problems and their solutions and use that to drive the adoption of best practices around coding, design, quality, and performance in the team.Experience with AI/automation, system analysis, design, industry development standards and their implementation.Analysis and verification of technical requirements for completeness, consistency, feasibility, and testability.Identification and resolution of technical issues through unit testing, debugging and investigation.Version Control including branching and merging (Visual SVN, Github preferred).Experience, EducationBachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum of five (5) plus years of directly related experience in all phases of systems engineering.The likely salary range for this position is $101,566 - $135,125. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
