Participates in research and committees for the purpose of evaluating and advancing standards of care.The behavioral health/addiction medicine pharmacy specialist coordinates and provides pharmaceutical care for addiction-related medical and psychiatric patients: -Serve as Colorado State Board of Pharmacy consultant pharmacist for Other Outlet licenses in Center for Dependence Addiction and Rehabilitation (CeDAR) outpatient clinic and residential care areas -Monitor for regulatory compliance for State Board of Pharmacy, DEA, pertinent REMS programs -Support CeDAR leadership for compliance with Joint Commission standards -Provide education to provider staff on new therapeutics -Support best practices across transitions of care, including medication histories and opioid reversal agent prescribing -Collaborate with inpatient behavioral health pharmacist -Precept pharmacy students and residents -Partner with UCH Pharmacy Operations managers and procurement specialists to optimize medication delivery and storageWe improve lives.
