Shift: Rotating

Pay: $50.76 - $76.14 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary:

Focus on IV room coordination and verification of oncology preparations from Central pharmacy. Serves as mid-shift support for 2nd shift oncology through order verification and double check of chemotherapy orders. Serves as main back up for oncology coverage if there is an evening oncology shift sick call.

Schedule:

  • 7 on / 7 off (Wednesday-Tuesday)
  • Weekday shifts are 8:30am-7pm (10 hour shift)
  • Weekend shifts are 9:30am-6pm (8 hour shift)
  • Note that shifts are often available to pick up during an "off week" if candidate would like to work more than 0.825 FTE
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
  • State licensure as a Pharmacist and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level.
Responsibilities:
  • Check all IV Hazardous products that are compounded in central pharmacy during the shift and may be responsible for checking non-IV hazardous preparations
  • Coordination of daily chemotherapy with the oncology technician and oncology specialists to ensure proper planning and timing of chemo preparation and timing of any new chemo starts
  • 2nd check verification when chemo orders are released.
