Software Development Engineer with Security Clearance

The position will support dynamic, agile projects implementing a SecDevOps approach across all phases of the software development lifecycle, to include design, development, test, and operational support / user feedback. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently as well as within a team setting on the design, implementation, and maintenance/troubleshooting of new and existing software solutions. The candidate must be self-motivated, be a self-learner, and able to work well within a dynamic schedule. Candidate must show ability to effectively communicate with various team members, customers, as well as communicate with vendor support. Candidate must be able to leverage modern industry standard technologies in the engineered solutions and be able to provide status of design efforts. The Software Development Engineer may be expected to support more than one project at a time, bringing their knowledge and experience to help not only their primary project but be able to sup other projects address critical issues and challenges. This position is available in Colorado Springs, CO, and the candidate needs to be willing to travel approximately 10%. Experience and Skills * 2-5 years software engineering * BS in SE, CS, EE, CE, or other engineering equivalent * Java and C/C++ programming on Linux platforms * Java/C++ Full Stack, with backend implementations * Batch File, Python Scripting * Solid understanding of relational database applications and creation of expressions * Batchelor of Science in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related degree * Ability to learn, take ownership, and deliver high-quality results in an unstructured environment * Experience using Atlassian tools and working in an Agile software development environment * Experience in scoping effort to accomplish a task * Ability to effectively working in a team (IPT) environment Preferred Skills and Experience * Network, Multi-threaded, client-server programming * Experience addressing software race conditions * Driver development * Experience in Sec/Dev/Ops design and implementation * Docker/Container & Kubernetes design and implementation knowledge and experience on premise and cloud * Ability to design software solutions to complex engineering problems * Ability to lead teams in software development, and mentor/coach newer software engineers * Ability and experience in defining and developing requirements with customers, * defining/architecting a solution to satisfy them, and developing the test methodology to verify them * CI/CD Pipeline Experience * TS Clearance * Experience in GUI (frontend), can be in Javascript, PHP or other * Experience in C# * Database experience, SQL, MSSQL, ... * Experience in Network (multi-servers) and WANIF applications and implementation * Windows OS #LI-Onsite The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
