Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an IT Support Specialist in the Manufacturing industry, based in Marion, North Carolina. The workplace will be a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for setting up workstations, connecting employees to the network and internet, and providing ongoing IT support.

Responsibilities:

Set up workstations and ensure they are connected to the network and the internet
Provide ongoing IT support to employees, allowing the main IT person to focus on server rebuild
Assist with the migration of servers to a new location
Manage the configuration and setup of VPN and Office 365
Handle the setup and maintenance of Cisco secure client and Mobile pass authentication
Resolve technical issues related to Apple and Mac devices, Microsoft products, and computer hardware
Manage resets of passwords for employees
Ensure smooth operation of the VOIP phone system
Maintain high levels of technical expertise and continuously update your knowledge on new technologies.

Requirements

Proficiency in Cisco Technologies is required.
Familiarity with Mac Computers is essential.
Applicants must have a strong understanding of Microsoft products.
Knowledge of Active Directory is a must.
The ability to troubleshoot and maintain Apple Devices is necessary.
Applicants should have experience with Computer Hardware.
Configuration Management skills are essential.
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly under pressure.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work well in a team and independently.
A commitment to continuous professional development.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
Relevant certifications in IT Support and Systems Management would be advantageous.
