Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to join our vibrant Manufacturing team. This is a permanent position with an opportunity to influence the future of our product line and directly contribute to our success. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and products by studying customer requirements, researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials, and soliciting observations from operators.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop mechanical and electromechanical systems by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; and soliciting observations from operators.
2. Assure system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and system capabilities; and confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
3. Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
4. Provide engineering information by answering questions and requests.
5. Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
6. Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; and requesting special services.
7. Complete projects by training and guiding technicians.
8. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
9. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
2. 3+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficient in Mechanical Design, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, 3D Modeling, and Engineering Drawings.
4. Strong knowledge of Product Development, Project Management, Machine Design, and Design for Manufacturing.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
9. Strong understanding of industry trends, technology, and common practices in mechanical design.
10. Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to junior engineers and technicians.
11. A creative mind that is highly inquisitive and driven to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
