Description

We are in search of an IT Asset Planning Analyst II to join our team located in Lake Forest, Illinois. This role involves managing IT assets, auditing, and negotiating hardware and software rates. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage IT assets within the organization, ensuring accurate record-keeping and optimal utilization.
Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and ensure all assets are accounted for.
Use knowledge of computer hardware and backup technologies to assist in hardware and software selection.
Liaise with external software companies for software acquisition and maintenance.
Negotiate to secure the best rates while procuring technology supplies.
Implement asset accounting and asset allocation strategies to optimize resources.
Maintain a comprehensive asset inventory for the organization.
Utilize strong asset management skills to track, report, and manage company assets.
Handle customer inquiries, resolving any issues in a timely manner.
Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently, maintaining accurate customer credit records.

Requirements

Proficiency in auditing processes and procedures
Knowledge of backup technologies and their application
Familiarity with computer hardware including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
Understanding of asset accounting principles and practices
Experience with asset additions, including assessing needs and implementing procurement plans
Ability to manage asset allocation according to company strategy and guidelines
Experience in asset inventory management, including tracking, recording, and reporting
Proven skills in asset management and the ability to optimize use and value of company assets
Strong negotiation skills, particularly in vendor contracts and asset acquisition deals.
