Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Power/Control Distribution Panel Design Lead to join our growing team. In this leadership role, you will play a pivotal role in driving the design and development of electrical control systems and power distribution units for our products. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the design process, from requirement capture to final implementation, while providing technical guidance and mentorship to your team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the design and development of electrical control systems and power distribution units.
  • Translate system-level and sub-system level specifications into detailed and functional electrical control architectures.
  • Review and approve electrical control system schematics, panel layouts, and test plans.
  • Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot, resolve, and isolate electrical system issues.
  • Design and select components for end stations, including AC and DC harnesses.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of vacuum components, servomotors, sensors, fiber optic communication, cable shielding, and wire selection.
  • Leverage your expertise in the SEMI domain to ensure designs meet industry standards.
  • Independently drive the execution of system-level and sub-system level design projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, overseeing schematic design, panel layout, component selection, cable harness design, and document quality checks.
  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical design, application software, and manufacturing.
  • Facilitate the integration of power distribution unit design requirements from system-level specifications.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the complete product development lifecycle for electrical components.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, such as IEC, CE, NEC, NFPA, IPC-WHMA-620, SEMI, and UL.
  • Utilize industry-standard electrical and E-CAD tools, PLM/PDM software, and PLC/HMI programming languages.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related field (Master's degree a plus).
  • Minimum of 6+ years of hands-on experience in electrical control system design and power distribution unit design and development.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical control system design principles and best practices.
  • Proven ability to translate system requirements into functional electrical architectures.
  • Strong understanding of power distribution design considerations and component selection.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software and PLM/PDM tools.
  • Working knowledge of PLC and HMI programming is highly desirable.
