As the Senior Director of Project Governance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of advisory and consulting projects within our professional services division. This position is delivery-oriented and entails overseeing the General Managers of each group within the division, including ERP, WFM, & HCM; EHR & RCM; and Digital Transformation. The Senior Director of Project Governance will be responsible for establishing and maintaining project governance frameworks, processes, and standards to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency across all projects. This role requires a seasoned leader with a strong background in project management, a deep understanding of advisory and consulting services, and the ability to provide strategic direction and support to project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Governance Leadership:
Develop and implement project governance frameworks, methodologies, and standards to govern the delivery of advisory and consulting projects.
Establish project management best practices, tools, and templates to ensure consistency and alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.
Provide guidance and support to practice directors, project managers, and project teams on project governance processes, compliance requirements, and risk management practices.
Facilitate and support the kick-off, ongoing check ins, and wrap up of advisory and consulting projects.

Performance Oversight:
Oversee the performance of advisory and consulting projects, ensuring adherence to project governance standards, timelines, and budget constraints.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and project metrics to assess project health, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous optimization.
Conduct regular project reviews and audits to evaluate project execution, identify risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Stakeholder Management:
Serve as an escalation point of contact for senior leadership and key stakeholders, providing updates on project status, performance, and issues.
Collaborate with practice directors, project managers, and project teams to address stakeholder concerns, resolve conflicts, and ensure alignment with project objectives and expectations.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between project teams, stakeholders, and cross-functional departments to drive project success.

Resource Management:
Work closely with practice directors, project managers, and resource managers to allocate resources effectively across advisory and consulting projects, balancing workload, skills, and availability.
Provide guidance on resource planning, capacity management, and talent development initiatives to optimize resource utilization and enhance project delivery capabilities.

Continuous Improvement:
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project governance processes, methodologies, and tools.
Solicit feedback from project teams, stakeholders, and clients to identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency gains, and service enhancement.
Lead the implementation of best practices, lessons learned, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Proven track record of at least 10-12 years in project management leadership roles, preferably within a professional services organization.
Deep understanding of project management methodologies, frameworks, and best practices, with relevant certifications preferred.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated experience in establishing and implementing project governance frameworks, processes, and standards.
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective strategies to drive project governance and delivery excellence.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities.
