CV Resources is partnering with an organization to hire a temporary Accounting Clerk for a long-term assignment

Job Summary:
The Accounting Clerk will manage accounts receivable and payable, ensuring accuracy, timely processing, and compliance with company policies. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivable: Process invoicing in NetSuite and accurately apply customer payments for both B2B and B2C transactions.
  • Weekly Reporting & Collections: Run weekly accounts receivable reports and assist with collection efforts to maintain healthy cash flow.
  • Accounts Payable: Enter accounts payable invoices and assist with weekly check runs to ensure timely and accurate payment of outstanding invoices.
  • Internal Controls: Ensure strong internal control measures are maintained and followed to comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Communication: Professionally communicate with customers and internal departments to resolve inquiries regarding invoices and payment status.
  • P-Card Administration: Share company P-Card administration duties with other staff accountants, ensuring compliance with company policies related to credit limit increases, receipt documentation, and approvals for company credit card accounts.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation and standardization.
  • Month-End Assistance: Assist Senior Accountants with month-end duties as needed, including adjusting journal entries and account reconciliation.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an accounting role.
  • Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software applications and the MS Office suite, especially Excel.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy with a strong focus on data integrity and compliance.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a high-volume, dynamic environment.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex issues and make sound decisions.
