Physical Therapist at Intermountain Health summary:

The Physical Therapist is responsible for screening, diagnosing, and treating patients with injuries and disabilities through established therapeutic practices. This role involves creating tailored treatment plans, educating patients and caregivers, and utilizing various modalities to improve physical function and mobility. A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy and state licensure are required, with additional preferences for a Doctorate and specialized training in pelvic health.

Job Description:

This position is responsible for screening, testing, evaluating, diagnosing and treatment of injuries, diseases, and disabilities using physical therapy procedures and modalities in accordance with standard physical therapy practices. The Physical Therapist consults, educates, and trains patients and their caregivers.

Pelvic Health Specialty is preferred.

Full time 36 hours

Scope
Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.

  • Develops plans describing a treatment strategy, its purposes, and its anticipated outcome. Plan often includes exercise regimens at the clinic and at home to increase flexibility, strength, or endurance. May use various modalities to relieve pain and reduce swelling.
  • Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs. Help to restore physical function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent permanent disability.
  • Determines patients ability to be independent and reintegrate into the workplace or community after injury or illness.
  • Promotes mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school is required
  • Current/valid state Physical Therapist licensure is required Basic Life Support (BLS) is required
  • One (1) year related experience (preferably in a clinic setting) is required


Preferred

Pelvic Health Specialty is preferred.

  • Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy is preferred
  • Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) is preferred

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$41.22 - $63.59
