The Clinical Nurse II in the Infectious Disease/Secure Unit is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating patient care throughout the healthcare process, emphasizing safe and compassionate care during transitions within an acute care environment. This role involves managing patient needs, guiding the caregiving team, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and regulations, including those related to sensitive patient information. Registered Nurses in this setting may progress through professional status levels as outlined in the Nursing Professional Advancement Pathway.

Weekend_Night (United States of America)The Registered Professional Nurse assesses, coordinates, plans, directs, implements and manages the needs of assigned patients throughout the episode of care with a focus on progress toward discharge, including during transitions within the acute care stay. The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the delivery and coordination of patient care provided by the caregiving team. S/he assures that competent, compassionate patient care is uniformly provided to customers including referring facilities, hospital staff and patients in the inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings. ** Registered Professional Nurses that participate in the Nursing Professional Advancement Pathway (NPAP) must progress from novice to competent within a specialty. Nurses are eligible to apply for advancement to proficient or expert status as outlined in the NPAP.The Registered Professional Nurse assesses, coordinates, plans, directs, implements and manages the needs of assigned patients throughout the episode of care with a focus on progress toward discharge, including during transitions within the acute care stay.
