Supervisor Respiratory Care at Providence Health and Services summary:
The Supervisor Respiratory Care position involves managing the Respiratory Therapy Department's workload and staffing while performing respiratory therapy duties and participating in employee evaluations and quality improvement processes. The role requires licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and experience in respiratory care, with preferred supervisory experience. Under the supervision of the Manager of Respiratory Therapy, performs general and administrative duties as they relate to the functioning of the Department of Respiratory Therapy. In addition to His/Her duties as a Respiratory Therapist, He/She would perform primary functions of managing the workload and staffing, participating in the Project Improvement (PI) process, participating in employee evaluations, and acting as a resource and problem resolution adjunct for the Respiratory Therapy Department.

Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License
Sufficient experience to provide advanced knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, and techniques applicable to a wide variety of work characteristic to the Respiratory Care field involving both unusual and commonplace work situations: usually interpreted as three to five years of appropriate experience.
