Interventional Cardiologist Locum Tenens Location: Bloomington, IL Start Date: October 20, 2025 Duration: 26 weeks Schedule: Weekend coverage Friday 5:00 PM to Monday 7:00 AM Position Overview: I am seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Interventional Cardiologist to provide weekend locum coverage in Bloomington, Illinois. This is a high-impact role supporting inpatient cardiac care and STEMI call coverage. Responsibilities: Provide full interventional cardiology coverage including: Cardiac catheterizations PCI and related procedures STEMI auto-accept program coverage Cath Lab procedures for inpatients Collaborate with hospitalist and ICU teams Consult and coordinate with employed and PSA cardiologists Maintain productivity expectations of 80 RVUs per shift Requirements: MD or DO Active Illinois medical license DEA, ACLS, and Illinois CSR certifications Minimum 1 year of interventional cardiology experience Must be name clearable with: CV NPI License verification Interview availability Coverage availability Compensation: Friday and weekend on-call with call back Travel & Lodging: Covered Additional Information: EMR System: PS360 On-call Response Time: 30 minutes Privileging: Temporary privileges available; full credentialing takes 60 days COVID-19 Vaccination: Required (exemptions may be considered) Interview Process: Name clear Submission Phone interview Offer Keywords: Interventional Cardiologist, Locum Tenens, Cardiac Catheterization, STEMI Coverage, PCI Procedures, Cardiology, Inpatient Cardiac Care, Illinois Medical License, Weekend On-call, Cath Lab
