Opportunity Highlights Consistent Weekend Schedule: The role requires consistent weekend coverage from Friday at 5 PM to Monday at 7 AM. You will work 24-hour shifts. Solo Practice: You will be the primary provider on call and will work independently, with a 30-minute response time for calls. Diverse Responsibilities: Your duties will include providing full interventional cardiology coverage, handling Cath Lab procedures for inpatients as needed, and managing the hospital's STEMI auto-accept program. This program streamlines the process for patients experiencing a severe heart attack, getting them to the Cath Lab as quickly as possible. You will also perform cardiac catheterizations, PCI, and related interventional procedures. EMR System: The facility uses Epic for all charting. Quick Privileging: The estimated time to secure full or temporary privileges is 60 days. Key Responsibilities Provide full interventional cardiology coverage from Friday at 5 PM to Monday at 7 AM. Be available for STEMI call coverage, which is required to support the hospital's regional program. Perform cardiac catheterizations, PCI, and other required Cath Lab procedures for inpatients. Consult with hospitalist and ICU teams for admitted patients. Collaborate with other employed and PSA cardiologists. Provider Requirements Education: MD or DO. Board Status: Board-Certified or Board-Eligible. Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience. Licensure: An active Illinois State License is REQUIRED to apply. We are not able to consider candidates with an IMLC. Certifications: ACLS, DEA, and CSR licenses are required. Start Date The target start date is September 19, 2025.
