THE JOB

The Coordinator of Conventions Services and Events plays a key role in supporting the Sales Executives and Conferences and Events Executives. Your responsibilities include providing top-notch administrative support and acting as a bridge between the property and clients. You'll ensure that all tasks align with the company's standards and values. This role involves facilitating smooth communication and delivering excellent service consistent with the property's core standards and procedures.

THE STARTING PAY RATE:$18.50 per hour

THE DAY TO DAY

  • Reservation and Inquiry Management: Efficiently handle reservations, confirmations, cancellations, special requests, and travel advisor inquiries, ensuring seamless coordination with property operations.

  • Client Visits and Tour Coordination: Organize and manage site/FAM tour agendas, collaborating with properties to ensure smooth client visits.

  • Sales Executive Support: Manage schedules, appointments, travel arrangements, and expense reports for Sales Executives, maintaining confidentiality.

  • Exceptional Service and Brand Alignment: Deliver outstanding service that reflects the property's standards and brand values, ensuring client satisfaction.

  • Relationship Building and Executive Support: Foster positive relationships with clients and colleagues while assisting with customer correspondence and covering for Executives when necessary.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent educational experience.

  • 1 year of prior Sales, Guest Services, Conventions Services, or Events experience in Hospitality.

  • An enthusiastic individual to join our diverse and unified team, working collaboratively to manage and execute counting tasks meticulously.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Proficiency in basic computer applications.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Prior administrative/coordinator/project management experience is a plus.

  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
