If you are aiming to grow your civil engineering design career then our CAD Designer opportunity will provide you with a fulfilling position having you utilize your strong design skills to support NV5’s Power Delivery Group based in our client office in Phoenix, AZ. 

This is a 90% in office position and 10% +/- field investigation.

Responsibilities
  • Create sketches, layouts, plans, and drawings for power delivery projects.
  • Develop, modify, and review drawings according to client and/or company drafting standards.
  • Review all work for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting for engineering review.
  • Participate in design review meetings.
Qualifications

If you possess the following experience & qualifications, then we would love to learn more about you

  • The minimum educational qualifications are 2 years of technical school education with CAD and civil/structural drafting / design or equivalent or Associate's Degree in Architectural or Engineering Design Technologies.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and working knowledge of the latest versions of AutoCAD is required.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience, including direct design and drafting work in the power delivery field involving substation and/or overhead transmission and distribution lines is strongly preferred.
  • Automated Utility Design (AUD) experience is a plus.
