Job Overview:

The Inventory Coordinator works very closely with our vendors and Inventory Planners in managing their purchase orders and ensuring our orders are accurate and reflect the latest information from our vendors. For past-due orders, the Inventory Coordinator will follow up to determine the status of the order and take action to update the purchase order as necessary. Follow-on PO Tasks such as RTV's, PO Splits/and replacement PO Creation and Discrepancy Reports from Supply Chain, will also be executed by the Inventory Coordinator. For our commercial customers, the Inventory Coordinator will create purchase orders for items that are outside of our assortment, and follow-up on the orders as necessary to ensure we are being responsive to our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Update PO's based on EDI PO Acknowledgements
  • Manage Past Due Orders
  • Update Purchase Orders as directed by Category Buyers
  • PO Splits/and new PO Creation
  • Handle Discrepancy Reports from DC's
  • RTV's
  • Commercial customer orders
  • eComm backorders that are not stocked in our DC's and require a customer order
  • Other customer orders (e.g. to support warranty, special requests)
  • This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills as they will deal with our vendor partners on a regular basis, in addition to maintaining key relationships with the distribution centers and Accounts Payable.
  • Inventory Coordinators must be very detail oriented to ensure purchase orders and customer orders are complete and accurate.
  • This position requires excellent use of and knowledge of all MS suite products which include and are not limited to: Excel, Word, and Access. Other systems JDA
  • Inventory Coordinators need to be able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and must be able to prioritize their workload. Must be proactive in completing tasks and eager to learn.
  • Must be willing to try, learn, apply and innovate
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 2 years of work experience
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Technical proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Access, JDA
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to provide supply outstanding customer service in spite of obstacles.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and work under a stringent timetable.
