Requirements of Advanced Practitioners
- Perform evaluation and management services to patients requiting Hospitalist services with the Hospitalist practice
- Develop treatment plans
- Complete admissions from ED
- Perform dictation of H&P examinations
- Cross cover for the Hospitalist team
- Perform dictation of discharge summary and procedure reports
- Expected to see 15-19 patients per day
- Write progress notes
- Order routine and special laboratory studies
- Write orders for inpatient and outpatient medicine
- 7a-7p
- Rotate 1:5 in terms of admissions
- Maybe asked to cover rapid discharge unit
- Perform such other responsibilities as reasonably assigned by the chief hospitalist and within NP/PA scope of practice
- Open ICU; 22 ICU Beds
- Hospital Beds: 375
- Avg. Census: Day: 8 - 10, Night: 10 - 12
- Codes: yes
- EMR: McKesson
