Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the Maintenance Planner is responsible for implementing, with their Manager and Production, a planned workflow to manage preventative, corrective and improvement work on production equipment.They are responsible for coordinating maintenance work and working closely with the maintenance team, engineering, quality and production. The Maintenance Planner must be analytical, highly organized and a strong communicator.They must be safety focused with a desire for ongoing continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement with maintenance manager and production, a planned workflow process to manage preventive, corrective and improvement work.
  • Plan all maintenance work orders by assigning the required parts, tools, procedures, drawings, and resources to the work.
  • Plan the weekly, monthly, yearly and long-term maintenance plans. Examine and prioritizes maintenance activities with team members.
  • Work with Reliability Engineer to develop, implement and improve maintenance strategies (Preventive & Predictive)
  • Review existing preventive maintenance processes for value to the maintenance effort & propose changes as necessary to improve the reliability of the assets.
  • Work with operations leads and supervisors to utilize operations personnel to assist maintenance effort as well as certain PM's pertaining to operations.
  • Become the super-user of our CMMS, train existing and new employee how to use the system efficiently.
  • Ensure the equipment parts catalog reflects all plant equipment changes and obtain proper resources for future upgrades so that the catalog continues to be a reliable reference tool for the whole plant.
  • Supervise a small team to improve spare part and documentation management.
  • Continually review and evaluate methods, processes, tools, equipment to optimize the maintenance function.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Minimum 2 years' experience working in a planning capacity or technical maintenance in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

  • High degree of collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in industrial mechanic industry
  • Strong computer skills
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement and problem-solving tools
  • Highly motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision
