  • Job Summary
    • Registration:

      Registers patients and obtains up to date patient information for both scheduled and unscheduled patient visits as well as other assigned duties. Is responsible for asking and collecting "time of service" payments and co-pays from patients. This position is required to rotate through holidays, weekends and be flexible to changes in shift caused to cover vacation and leave absences.

      Vestibule:

      Greets, directs, and provides information and assistance to patients, guests, and team members. Facilitates patient visitation and serves as liaison between patients, families, and team members. Provides relevant screening procedures for patients, guests and team members during periods of need.
  • Job Requirements
    • Minimum Education Requirement
      • High School Diploma or equivalent/experience required. Associate degree preferred. Medical Terminology preferred.
    • Minimum Experience Requirement
      • At least one year or more of medical business office including billing, collections, and/or patient accounting preferred. Basic knowledge of third- party payers, billing requirements and reimbursement methods preferred. Must exhibit professionalism, courtesy and excellent customer service skills when interacting with employees, patients, physicians and visitors. Must be able to perform multiple tasks and cope under stressful conditions. Must be honest and dependable. Must be able to accurately type 35 wpm. Must be able to calculate percentages, add and subtract. Must be able to work independently with little or no direct supervision and be a team player.

    • Physical Requirement/Working Conditions
      • External applicants, as well as position incumbents who become disabled, must be able to perform the essential functions, either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation to be determined on a case by case basis. This position is required to work holidays, weekends and fill in for vacation coverage.
