Mobile Echo Technologist

What You'll Do:

  • Travel to perform echocardiography studies in various service locations
  • Follow company policies and procedures to perform echo exams
  • Demonstrate competence in performance of echocardiographic studies
  • Consider age-specific needs of the patient when performing echo exams
  • Understand cardiac disease processes to obtain complete acquisition of images for clinical diagnosis
  • Collect or verify all required order documentation and patient information prior to procedures
  • Prepare & position patient for diagnostic imaging exams
  • Operate portable ultrasonic equipment with cardiac capabilities
  • Process images and review for proper identification & quality control
  • Transmit images and all required associated documentation to cardiologist in a timely manner
  • Complete all forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed
  • Upload all required documents into company systems according to company protocols
  • Maintain equipment including cleaning and disinfecting according to company procedures
  • Orient new staff and train students, if requested
  • Assist with order taking, validation of studies, communication with reading cardiologists, customer call-backs and other administrative and customer support functions as directed
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned

What You Need:

  • To qualify as a Mobile Echo technologist, you must meet all state-specific and federal requirements for training, education, competency, certification, and state license to perform
  • Adult Cardiac Sonographer with a satisfactory completion of an accredited non-invasive cardiovascular training program, with a focus in adult echocardiography and/or vascular ultrasound studies
  • ARDMS registered in adult echocardiography with RDCS (AE) designation OR CCI registered with Cardiac Sonographer designation required
  • Two (2) years' experience as a cardiac sonographer or vascular tech preferred
  • Additional Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) desired
  • Ability to perform quality and compete echocardiogram studies and possess excellent organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work a varied schedule that may require evenings, holidays, and weekends
