Job Description

The Information Solutions Associate Data Extraction Analyst is responsible for a full range of activities that are required to deliver business and clinical valued analytics and cataloged data assets to the enterprise. These activities include requirements definition, development, test planning, test execution and direct interaction with the health care business and clinical area(s), application experts, and other projects and programs within the organization.

This position is focused on re-usable data solutions enabling visualizations of key metrics and self-service analytics based on our enterprise data. Good communication skills are required to effectively define key metrics for data governance. The position will be for responsible troubleshooting day to day errors in the ETL loads (test and production), and inclusion in an after business hours support rotation. This position is critical to ensuring the daily continuity in our analytics platform.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the US, no H1B or H1B sponsorship or temporary work visas please.

Responsibilities
  • Analyzes, designs, build, test, and implement integration technology solutions that meet the specifications of a project or service request
  • Working in Agile development process and good understanding of various phases of Software Development Lifecycle Relational database experience.
  • Writes test cases and report results
  • Identifies problems following problem management expectations and performs problem resolution
  • Create knowledge database articles for support and maintenance
  • Resolve most reported issues independently or escalates as needed to senior engineers
  • Provides preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and quickly resolves routine problems to ensure infrastructure and application stability
  • Adheres to standards and best practices, processes, and deliverables in accordance with standards
  • Participates in defining operational readiness requirements
  • Follows testing best practices and standards
  • Adheres to SLA expectations
  • Writes technical specifications for respective applications or infrastructure platforms
  • Participates in creating prototypes or proofs of concepts for new infrastructure technology
  • Follow implemented ITIL best practices for break/fix, service requests, change control, etc.


Qualifications

Education Required:

Education Preferred: College degree in Business, MIS, or related discipline preferred

Experience Required: 1-2 years prior related technical and business experience required
Microsoft SQL Server, Business Intelligence Analytics, Requirements Analysis and Design, Windows Server Operating Systems, Data Conversion, Data Modeling with relational and dimensional
Prior related experience in coordinating systems related projects preferred.
Proficiency in the following technical concepts necessary
At least 2 years work experience with minimum 1 year of design and development experience in data warehouse, SQL Server.

Experience Preferred:
T-SQL scripting with dynamic and complex stored procedures experience a plus.
Ability to take direction and feedback in a growth oriented environment.
Data Visualization experience using QlikView and others.
Experience with Code On time tool set a plus.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

KNOWLEDGE OF:
General computer software (Excel, MS Word, E-mail)
Data visualization software/architecture QlikView, etc.)
Relational Database concept knowledge (SQL Server preferred)
General knowledge of object oriented tools desirable
Knowledge of Transact SQL is required.

SKILLS:

Strong interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills, as well as an ability to communicate effectively within a team, across disciplines, and with patients and families.
