The Marketing Events Manager will join the PROS marketing team and will fill a critical role in the planning and execution of the PROS event strategy at a variety of 3rd party industry conferences, partner-led events and PROS-hosted events and activations. This candidate is responsible for creating memorable experiences between our Go-to-Market teams, customers, prospects, partners, and industry experts with a focus on driving our pipeline growth. This is an exciting role in a fast-paced, high-tech software company in a growth industry. The right candidate will have an impressive track record of collaborating with marketing and sales teams while bringing events to life from idea to execution against ambitious goals for awareness and pipeline growth. Candidate must possess ability to professionally manage multiple projects, brainstorm with executive leaders, and manage logistics, communications, and budgets. The candidate should be an impeccable and creative marketer, with strong business skills, event management (experience with tradeshows, conferences, in-field sales events, etc.) and proven experience in helping guide the contributions of key business partners, executives, vendors, and internal support teams.

A Day in the Life of a Marketing Events Manager:
- Assist in orchestrating and executing intentional, personalized, memorable event experiences that build community and supports PROS employees, clients, prospects, and industry leaders
- Build and execute detailed event business plans/playbook for each event to streamline practices to create efficiencies and repeatability
- Define and track goals and measurement for each event
- Innovate on event practices to drive adoption and pipeline growth - test new approaches
- Drive operational excellence while managing stakeholders
- Serve as overall project manager and coordinate resources cross-functionally and externally while managing deliverables for all resources involved
- Manage logistics, promotions, communications, and budgets
We're looking for candidates who have a combination of the following achievements, skill sets and behaviors to be successful in this role:
- You have proven experience. 5-7 years successful marketing/events management experience, preferably in high-tech
- Strong business and sales operations understanding
- Ability to create, execute, and manage events of all sizes and audiences
- Highly developed project management skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional vendor management and negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze complex situations, make critical decisions in a timely manner, and work independently
- You're street smart and savvy. You're a self-starter and problem-solver. You're resourceful and ruthlessly pragmatic
- You're an open book. You communicate crisply. You go out of your way to be transparent in your actions and your words. You manage down, around, and up with the same enthusiasm and without playing politics. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You have a global mindset, with a sensitivity to and willingness to work across cultures and time zones. Willing to travel up to 50%
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, Marketo and Demandbase
- You have extensive experience working with CRM Database systems (Salesforce.com) and Event Registration Tools (Cvent)
- A Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing or communications. Additional experience in lieu of required education will be considered
