Position Overview: The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and caring for patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders. This role involves working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments of patients with respiratory disorders to determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Administer respiratory treatments and therapies by following established protocols.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient response to respiratory interventions and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease management.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Perform diagnostic tests, such as pulmonary function tests, arterial blood gas analysis, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Qualifications:
  • Degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Hold a valid Respiratory Therapy license issued by the state of New York.
  • Maintain credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working as a Respiratory Therapist in a healthcare setting
