Description

We're seeking a dedicated Assistant Director of Respiratory Care to continue the growth of our Respiratory Care team at Emory PFT Laboratories. The Assistant Director of Respiratory Care will assist the Director in managing the operations of the Department of Respiratory Care. You will participate in developing and monitoring the departmental budget, quality control, and assurance. You will evaluate and revise clinical practices, policies, and procedures on an ongoing basis. The Assistant Director will supervise staff and monitor productivity to ensure continuity and consistency in patient care. He will use clinical expertise, experience and knowledge of respiratory practices to perform routine and specialized procedures for the delivery of respiratory care. You will participate in patient and family education. You will explore new methodologies and evaluate new equipment which may improve the efficiency and the quality of patient care. Coordinates programs for continued staff development; evaluates and revises clinical practices, policies and procedures on an on-going basis. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy. Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Five years of experience in respiratory care which includes two years in a supervisory role.
  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) in the state of Georgia.
  • BLS, ACLS, and Healthcare Provider certifications required.
