Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Support Analyst with our financial services client in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a 3 month + contract to hire position. This position is hybrid onsite and requires 3 days a week onsite. This position can also be in Lake Mary, FL.

This position pays: $43.00-46.00/hr W2 based on experience.
Candidates applying must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder and able to work on a W2 basis directly with Genesis10.

Summary and responsibilites
Provide application support for information protection technologies. Responsible for debugging, installing, monitoring, and troubleshooting production systems. 5 x 24-hour support role in supporting the first line application support staff and the overnight operators. The main function of this position is to minimize interruptions and the risks to the firm from a system outage by coordinating the activities within the Application Support group. Function as 1st and 2nd level support on all vendor and in-house applications. Additional responsibilities include desktop support, system administration, and application development.

Requirements
  • Knowledge of DLP technologies
  • Strong technical background
  • Knowledge of email security standards
  • SIEM Tools Functionality
  • BA/BS Degree, preferably in Computer Science
  • Experience within the investment management business
  • Programming experience in one or more of the following programming languages: Visual Basic, PowerBuilder, Perl, C, Java, Shell
  • Must be well versed in the trading area, trade operations area, and general knowledge of the rest of the investment management business including accounting, data warehousing, reporting, portfolio management, portfolio analytic tools
  • Hands on experience with the Windows operating system, Unix operating system, Windows file system
  • Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • General knowledge of the databases used: Sybase, MS SQL server and the tools to monitor the databases
  • Experience using Autosys job scheduler
  • Must be dependable and reliable
