Verovian Nursing Agency is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Director of Med Surg Oncology to join the team in Richmond, Virginia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the Med Surg Oncology unit, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and operational efficiency.

Nursing Director of Med Surg Oncology will oversee the Med Surg Oncology unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and the efficient operation of the department. You will be responsible for managing nursing staff, developing, and implementing policies, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

  • Oversee daily operations of the Med Surg Oncology unit, ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Lead and mentor nursing staff, promoting professional development and a positive work environment.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient care outcomes, implementing changes as necessary to improve the quality of care.
  • Manage budget and resources effectively to ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Ensure that all staff maintain current licensure and certifications.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of strategic plans for the nursing department.
  • Act as a liaison between nursing staff, patients, and families to address and resolve any concerns or issues.
Candidate requirements Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution. Current and active RN license in the state of Virginia. BLS Certification. Minimum of five years of nursing experience, with at least two years in a management role. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals. Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
