JOB DETAILS:
POSITION TITLE: Facilities Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Retreat
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
This role is fully responsible for all esthetics of the building and grounds as well the safety and security of the building. Through providing direct supervision for housekeeping staff (and porter) and working hands-on with the team as well as overseeing and providing direct supervision of the community protection coordinators. He or she is responsible for ensuring the building and grounds are maintained in a thoroughly clean and attractive manner as well as ensuring that there is 24 staff coverage per state regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

· Coordinate the schedule and staff supervision of routine and non-routine cleaning tasks.
· Conduct frequent inspections focused on the appearance of the building and grounds.
· Adjust schedule and assignment daily based on the needs of the building and team.
· Actively work with staff filling in as needed and teaching best practice cleaning techniques.
· Complete all tasks of a housekeeper and porter to ensure only high-quality work is modeled and completed.
- Demonstrate initiative (e.g. anticipates needs) make good use of time, sets priorities and take care of routine and emergency situation in the most efficient and effective manner.
- Recruits, hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates the Community Protection Coordinators.
- Responsible for staff evaluations as well as disciplinary process.
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Reacts appropriately to fire and emergency preparedness drills and events according to policies.
· Report equipment repairs to his/her supervisor as soon as they are observed.
· Leaves equipment clean and in good operating condition for the next co-worker.
· Assists co-workers, members, visitors, and volunteers in a respectful and dignified manner.
· Performs all other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Education: High school or equivalent GED, desired
Minimum Years of Experience: Up to six months of experience in the housekeeping field with experience Leading a team
Demonstrate Skills:Multi-tasking, pro-active, attention to detail, organizing skills, effective teamwork, process oriented, ability to communicate effectively, including writing skills. Ability to manage own time and supervise a team of housekeepers.
Knowledge: Excellent working knowledge of cleaning products & tools, and proper use of cleaning agents. Knowledge of maintaining a building and grounds in a thoroughly clean and attractive manner.

ADA COMPLIANCE
Physical Ability: Tasks involve the ability to exert heavy physical effort in heavy work, with greater emphasis on climbing and balancing, but typically also involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, and the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds); may occasionally involve heavier objects and materials (up to 100 pounds).
Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate odors. Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate depths. Most tasks require visual perception and discrimination.
Environmental Factors: Tasks are regularly performed with potential exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as strong odors, fumes, dusts, wetness, humidity, machinery, pet dander, pet waste (including cat litter and bird and dog droppings), indoor and outdoor gardening allergens, and toxic/poisonous agents.
