Transfer Coordinator, Registrar
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position will perform strategic functions to provide services and support to transfer students, serve as the point of contact to assist transfer students in navigating the transfer process and assist in enrollment and degree completion efforts through accurate and expedient transfer credit evaluation.
Job Duties as Transfer Coordinator include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate efforts to ensure a smooth transition for transfer students
- Assist in maintaining an effective business process to serve the transfer student population
- Perform necessary research to provide accurate course descriptions and syllabi to Academic Affairs, Deans and/or Chairs to use in determining course waivers, substitutions, equivalencies
- Review new transfer transcripts received and identify courses that have not been evaluated
- Proficiently record transfer credit from other institutions into the student information system (Banner)
- Provide assistance to students, faculty and staff with enrollment, transfer and transcript issues
- Collaborate with academic advisors on degree audit and enrollment issues
- Review Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education (OSRHE) Course Equivalency Database to ensure Cameron University’s articulation tables mirror those resources
- Provide information on and interpretation of OSRHE and University policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of student records according to FERPA
- Assist students, faculty and advisors with Degree Works
- Perform other related duties as assigned
SALARY RANGE:
$32,000
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of two years responsible employment
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to learn and implement new computer applications and business processes
- Ability to work independently and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree
- Three years' experience in higher education
- Experience maintaining and utilizing Adobe Sign
- Extensive knowledge of a university student information system and related software
- Familiarity with FERPA and maintenance of university records
