SALARY SCHEDULE: A-5

REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Education Level: Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field from an accredited college or technical institute with 3 years of experience working in cyber security.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field from an accredited college or technical institute with certifications in the cyber security field.
  1. Experience, Skill, and Certification:
  • Knowledge of risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk).
  • Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities, cyberattack stages and methods, computer and network infections and their prevention, host-based security products, and Internet-based threat intelligence.
  • Ability to develop or recommend analytic approaches or solutions to problems.
  • Ability to evaluate information for reliability, validity, and relevance.
  • Ability to utilize multiple intelligence sources across all intelligence disciplines.
  • Ability to communicate complex information, concepts, or ideas in a confident and well-organized manner through verbal, written, and/or visual means.
  • Skill in developing or recommending analytic approaches or solutions to problems and situations for which information is incomplete or for which no precedent exists.
  • Skill in identifying cyber threats which may jeopardize organization and/or partner interests.
  • Skill in using multiple analytic tools, databases, and techniques.
Preferred
  • Knowledge of cyber intelligence/information collection capabilities and repositories.
  • Certifications in Palo Alto Networks CompTIA Security+ Certification
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Provide subject matter expertise to the development of cyber operations specific indicators.
  2. Assist in the coordination, validation, and management of allsource collection requirements, plans, and/or activities.
  3. Assist in the identification of intelligence collection shortfalls.
  4. Conduct in-depth research and analysis.
  5. Develop information requirements necessary for answering priority information requests.
  6. Engage customers to understand customers' intelligence needs and wants.
  7. Identify threat vulnerabilities.
  8. Identify threat tactics, and methodologies.
  9. Monitor and report changes in threat dispositions, activities, tactics, capabilities, objectives, etc. as related to designated cyber operations warning problem sets.
  10. Provide analyses and support for effectiveness assessment.
  11. Provide information and assessments for the purposes of informing leadership and customers; developing and refining objectives; supporting operation planning and execution; and assessing the effects of operations.
  12. Performs other duties as necessary for the effectiveness of the organization.


TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Incumbents will be considered "at will." Appropriate pay will be determined based on the Grade A-5 of the Administrator Scale and allowable experience as determined by Human Resources. This is an exempt position working 250 work calendar days. This postion is grant funded and contingent upon availability. New 01-2024
