Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and access current business processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and dependencies
  • Design, test and facilitate development of software applications to meet business requirements
  • Facilitate the training and adoption of new functionality within the business
  • Work with and troubleshoot software applications from concept to deployment to end of life
  • Perform testing, debugging, troubleshooting and ongoing support of applications in our production environment
  • Prepare documentation including technical specifications, user manuals, standard operating procedures and system configurations
  • General support of the business to include owning and resolving issues and requests related to the business applications.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users on newly implemented applications or updates
  • Interact with vendors and co-workers in a professional manner
  • Open willingness to continual learning
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and follow all safety regulations and practices
  • Follow all Koorsen policies, procedures and core values
  • Any other duties deemed appropriate by management

Required:

  • Pass drug and background screenings
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly across different levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency working in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred:

  • 1+ year of IT Help desk, application support or systems support experience
  • Previous experience supporting business applications
  • Familiarity with business ERP and CRM applications
  • Familiarity with Fire and Security business practices as they pertain to back office functions and field services
  • Familiarity with ITIL

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time
  • Must be able to effectively use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
  • Must be able to perform some repetitive motions while using a computer
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
  1. New hires must complete the I-9 Verification form within 3 days of hire. This form is required by the U.S. Department of Justice and Immigration and Immigration and Naturalization Services. It is used to verify your identity and right to work in the United States. In addition, we verify employment eligibility via E-Verify.
  2. All Positions require background checks with criminal courts, state and county repositories of criminal records, and the Department of Motor Vehicles.
  3. A test for Evidence of Substance Abuse by urinalysis test is required if this application results in an offer of employment.
