Senior Network Administrator Infrastructure-Systems - Capital City Bank - More than your bank, your banker.

Hours Mon- Fri 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

General Summary

Performs Bank-wide daily Administration of the network infrastructure including servers, operating systems, patch management with Ivanti, and Active Directory GPO to ensure overall network health. Manages the Change/Control documentation for internal projects. Provides support to the IT department and internal clients as required.

This position will serve as a key engineer for the architecture, implementation and operation of server and storage infrastructure design, infrastructure best practices, and support.

The Senior Network Administrator Infrastructure-Systems works under the direction of the Network Operations Manager.

A strong knowledge of VMARE, Cisco UCS, and Pure storage is preferred.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining the server infrastructure.
• Assists the Administrators and Technicians by providing third-level support.
• Makes evaluations and recommendations on process and projects.
• Assists in the analysis, design and development of new technology.
• Documents design, implementation, and final configurations for the server
infrastructure.
• Possess a solid working knowledge of Windows server 2019 and beyond, virtualization using VMware, Active Directory (AD), , as well as backup solutions for on- premise and cloud solutions. Manages day-to-day network administrator projects.
• Provide support to internal clients and the IT department as needed.
• Maintain service requests in the IT call tracking system.
• Assist the other departments within IT with application updates/upgrades and support as needed.
• Monitor all applicable network server equipment to proactively correct capacity or other issues to minimize downtime.
• Proactive system and storage capacity planning to meet business objectives.

Associated Duties

Provides additional support to manager and department colleagues.

Completes all assigned/required Bank training within established timelines.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Required

The following KSAs are usually acquired through college education with specialized emphasis in network systems and three to five years LAN/WAN experience.

1. Comprehensive experience with Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and the Windows operating systems.
2. Comprehensive experience with SAN, NAS, Virtualization, and replication technologies.
3. MSCE Certification a plus.
4. Cisco UCS a plus.
5. VMWare certification a plus.
6. Linux/Unix knowledge a plus.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems required. Equivalent training and experience may substitute for the education requirement.

Working Conditions

1. Often required to work in and around desks, cubicles and other small spaces.
2. Late or after-five hours sometimes required.
3. Occasional travel in and out of home area.
4. On-call rotation duties required.
5. In the rare instance of a major or extensive natural disaster, epidemic or pandemic occurrence, or other disruption within our footprint, it may be necessary for associates to relocate or telecommute before, during or after, to ensure business continuity.
6. Positions approved for Hybrid Flex/Remote Work are determined by department manager and HR. All associates approved to participate in a Flex/Remote work schedule will review and acknowledge the guidelines outlined in the Hybrid Flex/Remote Work Policy. Depending on position, may be eligible following completion of new hire period.
