THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL

SciensBuilding Solutionsisseekinga FireSystemsSales Representativefor our fire safetybusiness. This position will be servicing the Harrisburg Region. The Sales Rep’s focus will be on developing new opportunities via contractors and end-users by managing and growing the business through new construction, renovations and retro-fits within their assigned territory.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING AND DOING WELL

  • Sellsfire alarm systemsand other related systems.Achieves orders/booking and gross margin goals.
  • Achievesminimum annual quota assigned by manager on a consistent basisafter initial ramp up period.
  • Createsnew market share by selling a broad range of products and services to new customers.
  • Demonstrates strong prospecting skills and the ability to build customer relationships through consultative selling and promoting customer confidence in Sciens.Searchesfor and qualifiesopportunitieson an ongoing basis; followsup with prospects in a timely manner.
  • Conductspost-installation followup by contacting customers, ensuring commitments were met and affirmingcustomer satisfaction once the customer haspurchased a system.
  • Performs needs assessments, develops sales proposals, estimates, specifications and presentations.Providesaccurate forecast of activity and potential sales.
  • Maintainsan in-depth knowledge of complete line of products/services andcustomers’ issues and needs through in-house training, networking, and research.
  • Utilizesapproved marketing materials to present sales presentationsand proposalsto prospects, assuring the customer understands our value proposition, positive features,and advantages of our products and services over those of the competition.
  • Independently establishes call plans and customer followup strategies and tactics; consistently applies time and territory management techniques.
  • Influencesnew construction specifications through engineering relationships and educationalmeetings/presentations.
  • Works with operations, finance, legal and other inside and outside resources as needed to obtain sales.
  • Developsand executestacticalsales strategies,including endusers, developers, consulting engineers, and contractors.
  • Preparessales promotion campaigns for customers to promote product lines to commercial markets.
WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU
  • Two to fiveyears meeting and succeeding quotas of sellingfire alarm systemstocontractors and endusers.
  • Consistent sales performance, ability to organically grow business by providing solutions to new client base.
  • Consistentlymet orexceededquotainfire alarmsales for the past2-5years.
  • In-depth understanding of fire alarm life safety systems, low voltage systems,installationand testing.
  • Minimum of NICET level II-certified in fire alarm systems.
  • Technical aptitudewithunderstanding ofdrawings and codes.
  • Experience selling technical solutions through the contracting tier.
  • Effective communication skillsand abilityto presentbeforebroadaudiences.
  • Strong negotiation skills and competitive spirit.
  • Able to travel by air and/or ground overnight, as necessary.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Candidates with a combination of education and experience will also be considered.
