About the Role

Our Senior Salesforce Administrator plays a strategic role in the organization, leading the administration and optimization of the Salesforce platform. This role involves advanced customization, some system architecture design, and overseeing complex Salesforce projects. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for guiding and mentoring junior administrators, ensuring the highest standards of Salesforce efficiency and effectiveness. You will be responsible for configuring, customizing, and managing Salesforce to meet the evolving needs of various teams at the Department of Veterans Affairs. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of Salesforce functionalities, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance the overall efficiency of our Salesforce environment. We're seeking Salesforce team membersto help modernize and enhance enterprise system that connects healthcare providers directly with millions of US veterans seeking care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Salesforce Administrator will work within an Agile environment and collaborate with other developers, product owners, test engineers, and architects to:

  • Work with architects to design and implementation of complex Salesforce solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Provide expertise in areas such as advanced Salesforce Flows
  • Define and enforce best practices for Salesforce administration.
  • Establish and maintain governance policies to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Work with Salesforce Architects to serve as the technical subject matter expert for Salesforce within the organization.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to design and implement solutions that align with broader technical architecture.
  • Lead and manage Salesforce projects, ensuring successful and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews of the Salesforce instance and implement optimizations as needed.
  • Monitor system resources and recommend improvements for scalability.
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party applications to enhance Salesforce capabilities.
  • Lead change management initiatives related to Salesforce updates, enhancements, and new features.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for end-users and junior administrators.
  • Provide mentorship to junior Salesforce administrators.
  • Conduct training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities to enhance the overall skill set of the team.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Salesforce Advanced Administrator certification and additional certifications such as Platform App Builder or Platform Developer I are required.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Salesforce Administrator with a track record of successful project management.
  • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce architecture, capabilities, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Experience working with Federal agencies is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Military experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates will need to obtain Security Clearance of Public Trust once hired
