About the Role
We're seeking experienced Senior Salesforce Developers to help modernize and enhance an existing enterprise system that connects healthcare providers directly with millions of US veterans seeking clinical care. Our Salesforce Developer will work within an Agile environment and collaborate with other developers, product owners, test engineers, and architects. As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you will identify, develop, and implement complex Salesforce solutions that address business challenges and drive innovation. Leveraging your expertise in Salesforce development, architecture, and best practices, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that meet the evolving needs of our organization. This role offers the opportunity to mentor junior developers, influence technical direction, and contribute to strategic initiatives that shape the future of our Salesforce ecosystem.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead software development efforts by working closely with architects to design, develop and test new technology solution
- Develop custom solutions on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and other programming languages and frameworks.
- Design and optimize data models, sharing rules, and security models to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Evaluate new Salesforce features, technologies, and tools to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Lead the integration of Salesforce with external systems and applications, leveraging APIs, middleware, and data integration tools.
- Work with other senior team members to design and implement data migration, transformation, and synchronization strategies to support data consolidation and migration projects.
- Ensure seamless data flow and interoperability between Salesforce and other enterprise systems.
- Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes for Salesforce development.
- Conduct code reviews, unit tests, and integration tests to validate functionality, performance, and security of Salesforce solutions.
- Identify and remediate technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and scalability issues in existing Salesforce implementations.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, guiding them in Salesforce development best practices and methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, administrators, and business stakeholders, to drive alignment and consensus on technical solutions.
- Act as a subject matter expert on Salesforce development and architecture, sharing insights and expertise with the broader organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in Salesforce development, with a focus on complex, enterprise-scale solutions.
- Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer 1 and 2 are highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Salesforce platform architecture, configuration, and customization options.
- Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks relevant to Salesforce development (e.g., Apex, Java, JavaScript).
- Strong understanding of integration patterns, web services, and API-based integrations.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to mentor and lead technical teams in a collaborative environment.
- Experience with Copado and Jira is preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Experience working with Federal agencies is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Military experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
