RH Enterprise Linux 8 (RHEL) Sr. Consultant Intro

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Consultant specializing in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 (RHEL). In this role, you will be responsible for delivering expert-level consulting services to clients, including designing, implementing, and optimizing RHEL environments. You will work closely with clients to understand their business needs, develop tailored solutions, and ensure the successful deployment and management of RHEL systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of RHEL, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role will start as a 2-month contract but is expected to extend.

RH Enterprise Linux 8 (RHEL) Sr. Consultant Job Details

- Design, implement, and optimize Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 (RHEL) environments for clients.
- Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, assess current environments, and develop customized RHEL solutions.
- Provide expert-level technical support and troubleshooting for RHEL-related issues.
- Conduct system audits and performance tuning to ensure optimal operation of RHEL environments.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and best practices.
- Deliver training and knowledge transfer sessions to clients to ensure they can effectively manage their RHEL systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and best practices in RHEL and related technologies.
- Work closely with sales and pre-sales teams to provide technical expertise during the sales process.

RH Enterprise Linux 8 (RHEL) Sr. Consultant Mandatory Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in system administration and consulting with a focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Deep understanding of RHEL 8, including installation, configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems architecture, networking, storage, and security.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (KVM, VMware) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.

RH Enterprise Linux 8 (RHEL) Sr. Consultant Desired Skills

- Relevant certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) are highly desirable.
