Extrusion Packaging Lead

  • Complete set up of all packaging equipment including; ovens, conveyors, magnets, bucket elevator, SWECO, metal detectors, micro/auto samplers, labelers, printers, stretch wrapper.
  • Responsible for overall quality of the packaged finished goods (i.e. ensure label information is correct and legible).
  • Supervising a team and working alongside them to stack and palletize bags/boxes of finished product.
  • Ensure that good housekeeping and safety practices are maintained.
  • Responsible for supervising and performing sanitation and cleaning of equipment.
  • Perform product quality and food safety checks as required by specifications. Management of non-conforming product.
  • Maintain and control necessary records of product and material. Complete inventory control documentation clearly and accurately. Responsible for filling out set up sheets required for that day's production run.
  • Promptly notify Shift Production Manager of any difficulties that they are not able to solve, and which would impair packaging functions, changes in product quality or efficiency of responsibility.
  • Promote a safe work environment at all times through the adherence to all PGPI's Health & Safety and Environmental policies and procedures as well as to all relevant California OSHA regulations in order to achieve ZERO workplace incidents and injuries.
  • Promote exceptional food safety and product quality standards at all times through the adherence to, and improvement of, GMP and food safety and quality policies and standards, in order to have highest quality product for external customers.


Requirements

Experience in a lead/supervisory role - preferred

ERP transactions

Touch screen tablets/PLC

Basic math skills

Ability to drive Forklift and Aerial Lift - required (full training will be provided)

Salary Description

$21.2 - $22.5 + shift differential
