Temporary CT or Xray Technician

McIver Clinic is seeking a certified CT or X-ray technician to work at our Lomax office on a temporary basis.

Performs various radiological procedures and works closely with medical professionals to ensure the accurate and safe capture of X-ray images while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Physical demands

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Required education and experience

• CPR Certification

• ARRT Certification

• Valid Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist License

Preferred education and experience

  • BLS

• Ensures patient privacy by following HIPAA guidelines

• Follows company safety procedures

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment

• Position patients and adjust equipment to obtain optimal images

• Follow safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff

• Review and evaluate images for quality and accuracy

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging techniques

• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and calibrated

Competencies

• Proficient in operating X-ray equipment and related technology

• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
