The Associate Financial Advisor position is a support role to the lead advisor. The position requires an individual who has a thorough knowledge of the financial services business and who is committed to being part of a team that delivers a comprehensive client solution. This individual must have strong relationship management skills, be reliable, organized and deadline driven.

QUALITIES:

- Knowledge of key financial, investment, and risk management concepts

- Able to lead review meetings with existing clients

- Comfortable with presentations and telephone conversations

- Excellent listener and communicator with clients

- Expertise in client service with a passion to help team and clients

- Possesses strong analytical skills

- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel; ability to learn in-house investment management, financial planning, and CRM software)

- Dedicated to developing a career within the financial services industry

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Conduct investment research (ETF's, Mutual Funds, & securities)

- Production of performance reports

- Assist with quarterly investment rebalancing

- Support the lead advisor in all areas of the client relationship

- Participate in client meetings with lead advisor to develop client acquisition skills and to support the conversion of prospects to clients

- Prepare for and lead ongoing client review meetings

- Coordinate and implement financial plans under the supervision of the lead advisor

- Attend meetings with lead advisor and take responsibility of follow-up tasks

- Development of relationships with clients and provide basic advice

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

- Background and experience in the financial services industry and investment research

- 3+ years of financial advice and relationship management experience

- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or equivalent work experience with background in the financial services industry is required

LICENSES & CREDENTIALS:

- Active Series 65 or Series 7 and Series 66 certification is required

- CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP) designation preferred but not required

**Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience**
